After 25 years in the heart of Harlem, Ms. JoAnn Baylor and her family are expanding! Make My Cake continues to make unique imprints on the baking world by introducing Ma Smith's Dessert Café, a division of MAKE MY CAKE.
The family is excited to continue her legacy as an inspirational and celebrated entrepreneur.
Ms. JoAnn, co-owner of Make My Cake, has roots in West Point, Mississippi, and an upbringing in historic Harlem, New York. It is no wonder her decadent desserts are known for their authentically soulful, homemade flavor. Her dessert training began decades ago when she would help her beloved mother, Josephine “Ma” Smith in her catering business. JoAnn learned first-hand the importance of quality food, served with southern hospitality and charm.
Ma Smith's Dessert Café, customers will have the chance to sample and find new favorites. At the Café, customers will have their old favorites and a chance to experience new ones; such as Brown Velvet, Cupcake Sundae,
and Banana Pudding Parfait.
